The Connect it E series is Pro-Ject Audio Systems' entry-level range of audiophile interconnects, designed to complement their turntables and phono stages without compromising signal quality. The range covers the most common termination combinations needed in modern and classic hi-fi systems, including straight and right-angle 5-pin DIN, RCA, and mini XLR.
Right-Angle 5-Pin DIN to Mini XLR
This variant of the Connect it E Phono uses a right-angle 5-pin DIN plug at the turntable end, suiting Pro-Ject decks where a straight DIN plug would be obstructed by a rear panel, dust cover, or nearby cables. The opposite end is a balanced mini XLR connector, intended for use with Pro-Ject's True Balanced phono stages and turntables fitted with an MC cartridge or the Pick it PRO Balanced.
Construction and Materials
The conductor is 99.99% OFC copper (2 x 0.2mm²) chosen for low-loss transmission at phono-level signals. The cable uses a dual twisted pair geometry with a 100% tin-plated copper foil shield to reject EM and RF interference, with a polyethylene dielectric for low capacitance and a transparent PVC outer jacket. All connectors are gold-plated brass with metal housings, providing long-term corrosion resistance and a reliable contact. The cable is semi-symmetrical, with shielding connected only at the receiving end (marked yellow) for optimal noise rejection.
