The Peerless Delta Coaxial Digital Cable sits within the Delta range — Peerless’s mid-tier cable series, positioned between the entry-level Slimline range and the higher-specification Sigma and Omega lines. The Delta series spans nine cable types including HDMI, component video, digital coaxial, and digital optical, all sharing a common construction philosophy built around PCOFC conductors and multi-layer shielding.
Construction
At the heart of the cable is a PCOFC oxygen-free copper conductor, which minimises signal loss and distortion across the digital audio path. The dielectric layer uses foamed polyethylene (foamed PE), which prevents distortion of high-frequency audio signals.
Shielding is provided by a dual-layer arrangement: a braided PCOFC outer screen and an aluminium foil inner shield. A PVC outer jacket completes the construction, providing durability and flexibility.
Connectors
Both ends are terminated with RCA plugs featuring 24K gold-plated contacts for superior signal transfer.
Application
The cable carries a coaxial S/PDIF digital audio signal, suitable for connecting a Blu-ray player, DVD player, or AV equipment to a 5.1 surround sound system or amplifier. It is precision engineered for a wide range of surround sound AV equipment.
