The Ortofon Quintet Stylus Guard is a replacement transparent protective cap designed to fit the Ortofon MC Quintet Series of moving coil cartridges. The guard slips over the front of the cartridge body, covering the cantilever and stylus to help prevent accidental damage when the cartridge is not in use.
Ortofon recommends fitting a stylus guard whenever the cartridge is not playing a record, particularly when handling the headshell or storing the turntable for extended periods. This is a direct replacement for the guard supplied with new Quintet cartridges and is sold individually.

This guard fits the full Ortofon Quintet Series, including the Quintet Red, Quintet Blue, Quintet Bronze, Quintet Black S, and Quintet Mono cartridges.
