The Libelle is Ortofon's precision bullseye spirit level, a simple but essential setup tool for any turntable owner. Correct levelling is fundamental to good vinyl playback: a deck that sits even slightly off true can affect tracking, channel balance, and long-term record wear.
How It Works
Placed directly on the platter or a flat surface of your turntable, the Libelle uses a central bullseye vial to show at a glance whether the deck is level in every direction. The bubble settles inside the ring when the surface is true and drifts towards the side that needs adjusting, so you can fine tune the feet or supporting surface until the system is perfectly balanced.
Compact and Portable
The low-profile circular housing is light and easy to keep to hand for checking a turntable during installation or after moving equipment. It is equally useful for levelling other hi-fi components and supports.
