The Ortofon Concorde Music Black LVB 250 Replacement Stylus is the flagship stylus of the Concorde Music series, fitting all Concorde Music cartridge bodies and providing a direct upgrade path from the Concorde Music Red, Blue, Bronze, or Black models.
Nude Shibata on Boron
The stylus mounts a nude Shibata diamond on a boron cantilever. The Shibata profile sits deep in the record groove and presents a long, narrow contact area to the groove walls, retrieving more of the high-frequency information cut into the lacquer than the elliptical or fine-line profiles fitted to the rest of the Concorde Music range. The boron cantilever is stiffer and lighter than aluminium, allowing the stylus to follow rapid groove modulations with less stored energy and lower colouration.
Anniversary Edition
The LVB 250 designation marks Ortofon's tribute to the 250th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven, with the stylus liveried in black and silver to identify it from the rest of the Concorde Music range.
Compatibility
This stylus fits the Concorde Music Black, Bronze, Blue, and Red cartridge bodies. It is not interchangeable with the wider Ortofon DJ or 2M cartridge ranges. Direct mounting into SME-style headshells is supported by the Concorde body shape.
