We recently launched a brand new Quantum AV website, and in doing so we moved to a completely different platform. Unfortunately, the way accounts, passwords, and personal data were stored on the old site was not compatible with our new system — the two simply speak different languages, and there was no reliable way to transfer that information across without the risk of errors or data loss.
Rather than carry across incomplete or potentially incorrect data, we made the decision to start fresh.
What about my password?
Even if we had wanted to, it would have been impossible to transfer passwords. For your security, passwords are never stored as readable text — they are converted into an unreadable code (called a hash) the moment you set them. Nobody, including us, can reverse that process. This is standard practice for any responsible website and is there to protect you.
What was transferred?
Newsletter subscriptions were the only thing we were able to carry across cleanly. If you were signed up to our emails before, you should still be receiving them.
What do I need to do?
Simply create a new account — it only takes a moment. Your order history from the old site is safely stored in our records, and if you ever need details of a past order please get in touch and we will be happy to help.
