Released on 3 October 2025, this is the 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of Oasis's second album, spread across three 180g black LPs. The remastered album occupies the first two records, while the third carries five unplugged versions mixed by Noel Gallagher.
The Album
(What's The Story) Morning Glory? first appeared on 2 October 1995 on Creation Records. It was recorded between February and June 1995 at Rockfield Studios and Loco Studios in Wales, with Owen Morris and Noel Gallagher producing. The album spent ten weeks at number one on the UK Albums Chart and did not leave the top three for seven months, going on to sell more than 22 million copies worldwide. In July 2025 the BPI certified it 19 times platinum, representing 5.3 million units in the United Kingdom. It won Best British Album at the 1996 Brit Awards and was named the greatest British album since 1980 at the 2010 ceremony.
Six singles were drawn from the record: "Some Might Say", "Roll With It", "Morning Glory", "Wonderwall", "Don't Look Back In Anger" and "Champagne Supernova".
The Unplugged Disc
The third LP collects five unplugged recordings: "Cast No Shadow", "Morning Glory", "Wonderwall", "Acquiesce" and "Champagne Supernova". They were produced and mixed by Noel Gallagher and Callum Marinho from the original master recordings, so these are new mixes of existing performances rather than new recordings.
Pressing and Packaging
All three records are pressed on 180g black vinyl by Optimal Media, with lacquers cut by Stuart Hawkes and mastering handled at Metropolis Mastering. The set is housed in an O-card sleeve with an additional cardboard slipcase and three printed inner sleeves, and carries the catalogue number RKIDLP151.
