The Uniti Atom Headphone Edition sits at the heart of Naim's Uniti range, reimagining the compact all-in-one player as a dedicated headphone system. It pairs a class-leading streaming platform with a discrete, fully balanced headphone amplifier, giving headphone listeners a true high-end source and amplifier in a single elegant enclosure.
A headphone amplifier first
Where the standard Uniti Atom drives loudspeakers, this edition channels its engineering into headphones. A discrete Class A/B output stage with a fully balanced topology delivers up to 1.5 watts per channel into 16 ohms, with enough authority to partner everything from sensitive in-ear monitors to demanding planar-magnetic and dynamic headphones from 16 ohms upwards. Three outputs are provided: a 6.35mm single-ended jack, a 4.4mm Pentaconn balanced output and a four-pin XLR balanced output.
Complete streaming platform
Built on Naim's acclaimed streaming engine, the Atom Headphone Edition handles hi-res files up to 32-bit/384kHz alongside DSD, and supports AirPlay 2, Chromecast built-in, Bluetooth, Roon, UPnP and Spotify Connect, plus integrated Tidal, Qobuz and internet radio. Two optical and one coaxial digital input, a stereo RCA analogue input and a front USB port round out the connections, while a balanced XLR preamp output and an RCA sub/pre output let it serve as the hub of a wider system.
Crafted control
A 5 inch colour display, illuminated proximity-sensing volume dial and machined aluminium casework give the Atom Headphone Edition a tactile, premium feel. The bi-directional Zigbee remote and the Focal and Naim app provide full control, multi-room playback and over-the-air updates, so the system keeps improving over time.
