The Radius On-Wall 4G is the dedicated TV and home cinema speaker in Monitor Audio's Radius Series 4G, the fourth generation of the British brand's compact loudspeaker range. Sitting alongside the ultra-compact Radius 1 4G and the Radius 3 4G mini-monitor, it is designed to integrate seamlessly around a television screen, delivering enhanced clarity, scale and impact for film, TV and music without compromising on style.
Driver Technology
The Radius On-Wall 4G is a two-way ported design housing twin 4.5-inch RST III bass-mid drivers and a 25 mm C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter. The RST III driver combines lightweight, rigid C-CAM cone technology with redesigned surrounds, improved venting and an optimised motor system, giving deeper bass, lower distortion and greater dynamic accuracy from a compact enclosure. The fully vented Gold Dome tweeter uses an external magnet architecture with an optimised UD Waveguide, producing smooth, open high frequencies with exceptionally low distortion and wide dispersion. A new crossover design and through-bolt driver bracing complete the acoustic package, while Monitor Audio's HiVe II port technology supports smooth airflow for tighter, more controlled bass.
Cabinet and Mounting
At just 78 mm deep, the slim, low-profile cabinet sits discreetly against the wall, and horizontal and vertical placement are both supported, with a removable MA roundel logo keeping the fascia clean and uninterrupted in either orientation. A wall bracket and fixing template are supplied for straightforward installation. The ported enclosure is tuned to 62 Hz, delivering an in-room frequency response that reaches down to 69 Hz.
System Matching
With a nominal impedance of 8 Ohms, 90 dB installed sensitivity and 100 W continuous power handling, the Radius On-Wall 4G presents an easy load for a wide range of stereo amplifiers and AV receivers. Each speaker is sold individually, making it simple to build from a single unit or stereo pair around the screen to a full left, centre and right array. Add a matching Monitor Audio subwoofer to unlock engaging, full-range cinematic performance.
