The Radius 3 4G is the larger of the two compact loudspeakers in Monitor Audio's fourth-generation Radius series, a comprehensive reinvention of the British brand's long-running compact range, sitting above the smaller Radius 1 4G and alongside the Radius On-Wall 4G. It is a high-performance mini-monitor built for TV, film, music, gaming and multi-room systems, and is equally at home in discreet residential or commercial installations. This version is finished in High Gloss Black.
Mini-Monitor Engineering
A 4.5-inch C-CAM bass-mid driver with RST III cone geometry is partnered with a 25 mm C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter, each powered by its own optimised motor system. Through-bolt driver bracing and a precision-engineered new crossover design work together to deliver tight bass, controlled dispersion and exceptional clarity throughout the frequency range.
Bass Performance
The ported cabinet uses Monitor Audio's HiVe II port technology, tuned to 53 Hz, supporting smooth airflow for tighter, more controlled bass. In-room frequency response extends from 44 Hz to 35 kHz (-6 dB), with a maximum peak SPL of 107 dB. For truly full-range performance, the Radius 3 4G can be partnered with a Monitor Audio subwoofer.
Flexible Placement
The Radius 3 4G supports desktop, floor-stand or wall-mount installation. It is compatible with Monitor Audio's FIX-M speaker mount for wall mounting, while the matching Radius Floor Stand 4G and Radius Desk Pad 4G are available separately. External dimensions of 255 x 150 x 201 mm with all accessories fitted and a weight of 3.7 kg per speaker keep it unobtrusive in any room.
System Matching
Nominal impedance is 8 Ohms with a minimum of 4 Ohms at 250 Hz, and sensitivity is 84 dB (2.83 Vrms at 1 m, free-field). Monitor Audio recommends amplifiers rated at 40 to 75 W into 8 Ohms or 75 to 150 W into 4 Ohms, with continuous power handling of 75 W (CTA 426-B). The speakers are supplied as a pair.
