Monitor Audio Radius 225 LCR Speaker (Gloss White) (Single)

The Monitor Audio Radius 225 is the dedicated LCR speaker in the Radius Series 3G — a range designed around stylish, versatile speaker systems for contemporary living spaces. At just 65 mm deep, the 225 is engineered to sit discreetly beneath or alongside today’s ultra-thin displays, functioning equally well as a centre channel or as a left/right main speaker in a compact home cinema system. It pairs naturally with the Radius 90 3G standmount speakers and the Radius 380 or 390 subwoofers to form a complete Radius surround package.

Driver Technology

The Radius 225 employs twin 4-inch (100 mm) C-CAM cone mid/bass drivers flanking a 1-inch (25 mm) C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter in a 2-way configuration. The mid/bass drivers use concave cone profiles originally developed for Monitor Audio’s flagship Platinum speakers, combined with larger motor assemblies and voice coils to deliver increased excursion, higher power capability, and reduced distortion. The Gold Dome tweeter features a rear-venting design that releases air trapped and compressed behind the dome, improving high-frequency efficiency and extension up to 35 kHz.

HiVe II Port Design

Bass output is reinforced by a front-firing reflex port using Monitor Audio’s HiVe II (High Velocity, low noise) design. The port interior features rifled grooves that accelerate airflow and reduce turbulence, delivering cleaner, more controlled bass from the compact 80 Hz–35 kHz operating bandwidth. The front-port placement means the speaker can be wall-mounted without compromising low-frequency performance.

Installation

A wall-mount bracket is included in the box, allowing the Radius 225 to be fixed flush against a wall with minimal fuss. The speaker delivers accurate sound reproduction from both horizontal and vertical orientations, giving full flexibility for LCR placement. At 610 mm wide and just 140 mm tall, it maintains a slim, unobtrusive profile beneath screens of 40 inches and above.
