As the most compact model in the Gold lineup, the Gold 50 6G is engineered to deliver outstanding sonic performance in smaller listening rooms, on dedicated speaker stands, or in desktop monitor configurations.

At the heart of the Gold 50 6G is Monitor Audio's MPD III (Micro Pleated Diaphragm) high-frequency transducer, the third iteration of this flagship tweeter technology trickled down from the Platinum Series. The MPD III delivers exceptional resolution and air in the upper registers, with an extraordinarily wide frequency response extending to 60kHz. Partnering it is a 6-inch (152 mm) mid-bass driver featuring C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Aluminium/Magnesium) cone technology and the innovative HDT (HiVe II Diaphragm Technology) from the Platinum Series. The HDT bass driver benefits from a powerful motor system that provides dynamic and controlled low-frequency output with reduced distortion, ensuring the low end remains tight and well-defined at all listening levels.
Cabinet and Finish
The Gold 50 6G enclosure is built to the standard of premium furniture, constructed to achieve maximum rigidity and to minimise cabinet resonance. The Satin White finish gives the cabinet a clean, contemporary appearance that integrates naturally into modern living spaces. Precision-machined aluminium trims and carefully designed shadow gaps add further elegance to the finished surfaces. The HiVe II ported bass alignment is tuned at 50 Hz, providing a well-controlled low-frequency extension that balances natural room gain with accurate bass reproduction.

Compact at 320 x 185 x 303 mm and weighing 8.5 kg each, the Gold 50 6G integrates naturally onto a bookshelf or, ideally, onto dedicated speaker stands for optimal performance. The speaker presents a nominal impedance of 4 ohms and a sensitivity of 85 dB (2.83V at 1 m), requiring an amplifier capable of driving 4-ohm loads with a recommended power range of 130 to 300 W RMS. Its maximum peak output of 114 dB (AES75) makes it capable of filling a small to medium-sized room with ease.
