The CP-CT260 is a two-way in-ceiling loudspeaker from Monitor Audio’s custom installation CP Series, built around the same C-CAM® (Ceramic-Coated Aluminium/Magnesium) driver technology that defines the company’s high-fidelity ranges. A 6″ C-CAM cone bass driver handles the mid and bass frequencies, while a 25 mm C-CAM gold dome tweeter — mounted on a pivoting mechanism — manages the treble, allowing the dispersion axis to be aimed at the listening position independently of the speaker’s mounting angle.
Two on-board level controls provide precise acoustic tuning without any additional hardware. A high-frequency level adjustment (±3 dB) compensates for variations in room acoustics and listening distance. A separate boundary compensation switch reduces low-frequency build-up when the speaker is installed near a wall or room corner, where acoustic reinforcement would otherwise make the bass response sound uneven.
Installation uses Monitor Audio’s patented Tri-Grip® system: three retention clamps that, when tightened, engage a surface area three times greater than conventional two-point clamping schemes. This larger footprint presses the speaker basket firmly and evenly against the ceiling surface, maximising the rigid mechanical coupling needed for accurate mid-range and bass reproduction. The airtight enclosure design isolates each driver from dust, dirt, and air-pressure variations in the ceiling void. A magnetic steel grille is included; its surface is factory-primed for painting to match any ceiling colour.
