Monitor Audio Bronze 6G W10 Subwoofer Urban Grey

The Bronze W10 is the dedicated subwoofer in Monitor Audio's Bronze 6G series, sitting alongside the Bronze 50, 100, 200, 500, C, FX, and AMS models to complete a full home cinema or stereo system. It pairs a long-throw 10-inch (250mm) C-CAM driver with a 10-inch (250mm) flat-panel Auxiliary Bass Radiator (ABR) mounted underneath the cabinet, extending low-frequency output down to 29Hz (-3dB) from a compact sealed enclosure.

Driver & Bass Radiator

The main driver uses Monitor Audio's signature C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Aluminium/Magnesium) cone in a dished profile, engineered for long excursion to move large volumes of air without losing control. Beneath the cabinet, the 10-inch flat-panel ABR augments the driver's output passively, reinforcing low frequencies without the port noise or turbulence associated with ported designs. The sealed cabinet architecture ensures tight, well-damped bass that integrates cleanly with the rest of the Bronze 6G range.

Amplification

A built-in 220W Class D amplifier drives the W10, fed by a high-current Switch Mode Power Supply (SMPSU) that delivers consistent power on demand. Class D topology keeps the amplifier efficient and cool-running, allowing the compact cabinet to remain manageable in size while still producing substantial output.

EQ Modes & Control

Three pre-set EQ modes — Music, Movie, and Impact — tailor the W10's response to different content types. Music mode prioritises tonal accuracy and integration with stereo speakers; Movie mode broadens the low-frequency envelope for film soundtracks; Impact mode adds additional weight for action-heavy material. A 12-volt trigger input allows the subwoofer to power on and off automatically via an AV receiver, processor, or home automation system.

Cabinet Construction

The cabinet features heavy internal bracing to minimise panel resonance, and improved rubber isolation feet reduce vibration transmission to the floor. The result is clean, articulate bass output with minimal cabinet coloration. The W10 is available in four finishes — Black, Urban Grey, Walnut, and White — matching the rest of the Bronze 6G speaker range.
