The Bronze AMS 6G is Monitor Audio’s Dolby Atmos® enabled height speaker from the Bronze Series 6G — the brand’s popular entry-level range, sitting below the Silver, Gold, and Platinum lines. Designed to deliver immersive overhead sound effects from Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Auro-3D soundtracks, the AMS can be wall-mounted using its rear keyhole fixings or placed on top of a compatible speaker — its footprint is specifically sized to sit neatly on the Bronze 50 bookshelf or Bronze 200 floorstanding speakers.

Driver Technology

The AMS 6G is a two-way sealed-cabinet design housing a 4-inch (102mm) C-CAM bass/mid driver and a 1-inch (25mm) C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter with a UD (Uniform Dispersion) waveguide. C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Aluminium/Magnesium) is Monitor Audio’s proprietary driver cone material, developed from aerospace technology and used across the brand’s entire speaker range. The 6G-generation drivers feature a conical diaphragm geometry engineered for increased control, paired with DCM (Damped Concentric Mode) technology for improved time-response accuracy. The sealed cabinet ensures tight, controlled bass output suited to the speaker’s role as a height channel, where clarity and directional precision matter more than deep extension.

Installation

The Bronze AMS offers two mounting options. Keyhole fixings on the rear panel allow the speaker to be wall-mounted high up in the listening room, above the main speakers, for a dedicated height channel. Alternatively, the AMS can sit on top of a front or surround speaker, firing sound upwards to reflect off the ceiling — the approach favoured by Dolby for rooms where ceiling-mounted speakers are impractical. The compact dimensions (173 × 185 × 302mm) and 3.1kg weight per unit make either option straightforward.

Compatibility

The Bronze AMS 6G supports all three major immersive audio formats: Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Auro-3D. It is Dolby Atmos certified. Pair it with a compatible AV receiver and your existing speaker system to add height channels — a 5.1.2 or 7.1.2 configuration using two or four AMS speakers respectively. Monitor Audio recommends amplifier power of 10–60W into 8 ohms.
