Monitor Audio Bronze 6G AMS Atmos Speakers Black (Pair)

The Bronze AMS sits within Monitor Audio's Bronze 6G series as the dedicated Dolby Atmos enabled speaker, designed to add height-channel immersion to any Bronze-based home cinema system. It is the first Dolby Atmos approved speaker in the Bronze range, and is equally compatible with DTS:X and Auro-3D three-dimensional surround formats.

Driver Technology

The Bronze AMS uses a 25mm C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Aluminium/Magnesium) Gold dome tweeter paired with a 4-inch C-CAM mid-bass driver. The tweeter is fitted with a bespoke UD (Uniform Dispersion) waveguide, optimised specifically for the upward-firing Atmos application to focus sound precisely toward the ceiling for accurate overhead reflection. The C-CAM cones use Monitor Audio's conical diaphragm geometry for increased rigidity and control, combined with DCM (Damped Concentric Mode) technology for improved time-domain accuracy and a more natural, lifelike sound.

Cabinet & Construction

The AMS uses a sealed cabinet design, which provides tight, controlled bass response well suited to the demands of cinematic effects channels. Internal wiring uses silver-plated oxygen-free copper for low-loss signal transfer, and the speaker is terminated with gold-plated bi-wire binding posts.

Installation

Two placement options are available. The AMS can sit directly on top of existing Bronze 50 or Bronze 200 speakers, firing upward to bounce sound off the ceiling for Atmos height effects. Alternatively, dedicated keyhole mountings on the rear panel allow flush wall mounting at height, well above the main speaker plane. Both methods deliver the overhead sound field required by object-based surround formats without the need for in-ceiling speaker installation.
