The Monitor Audio Bronze 200 6G is the smaller of two floorstanding models in Monitor Audio's sixth-generation Bronze series, sitting above the Bronze 50 6G and Bronze 100 6G bookshelf speakers and below the larger Bronze 500 6G floorstander. Designed from the ground up rather than a simple refresh, the Bronze 6G range introduces a redesigned 25mm C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter fitted with a Uniform Dispersion (UD) Waveguide, paired here with dual 5.5-inch C-CAM mid-bass drivers in a 2.5-way configuration. The result is a compact floorstander that delivers a clear, open and detailed sound without requiring a large room to perform.
Driver Technology
The C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Aluminium/Magnesium) mid-bass drivers feature updated cone geometries and Damped Concentric Mode (DCM) technology, which improves the time-domain response for a deeper, fuller sound while retaining precision across the midrange. The Gold Dome tweeter's UD Waveguide controls high-frequency dispersion to deliver a wide, even soundstage throughout the listening area.
Cabinet & Construction
The enclosure uses a bass-reflex design with twin rear-firing HiVe II ports, tuned for ease of positioning close to rear walls without compromising low-frequency performance. The cabinet is constructed from 21mm (baffle) and 15mm (sides) MDF with internal bracing to minimise panel resonance. Internal wiring uses Pureflow silver-plated oxygen-free copper cable for high-quality signal transfer throughout the crossover network. Sturdy steel outrigger feet provide a stable platform, with spikes supplied for carpeted floors and rubber feet for hard surfaces.
Connectivity & Finish
High-quality gold-plated bi-wire terminals allow both bi-wire and bi-amp configurations. The acoustically transparent hexagonal-pattern magnetic grille, shared with Monitor Audio's Silver and Gold series, attaches magnetically for a clean look. The Bronze 200 6G is available in four finishes: Black and Urban Grey pair with a dark grey satin baffle, while Walnut and White feature a light grey satin baffle for a more contemporary aesthetic.
