The Milty Permaclean Kit is a complete record, CD and DVD cleaning system from one of the longest-established names in anti-static and media-care products. It combines a purpose-formulated aerosol cleaning fluid with the brand’s unique double-sided Duopad applicator to rapidly lift and remove the accumulated grime, oils and dust that degrade playback quality and contribute to background noise. A single kit treats approximately 40 records, and a standard refill aerosol (model MI0035M, sold separately) is available once the original canister is exhausted.
How It Works
The Permaclean aerosol delivers a fine, controlled mist of cleaning solution directly onto the playing surface. The solvent formula penetrates into the grooves of a vinyl record, breaking down and suspending dust, grit, greasy fingerprints and other embedded contaminants that ordinary dry brushes cannot reach. The Duopad’s velvet face is then used to work the fluid across the surface and dislodge loosened material, before the absorbent face wipes away the fluid together with the lifted debris, leaving the surface clean and residue-free.
Permaclean works equally effectively on the playing surfaces of CDs and DVDs, removing the fingerprints and smears that cause read errors and image artefacts. Used regularly, it helps maintain consistent playback performance across an entire media collection. For enhanced results on vinyl, Milty recommends pairing the Permaclean Kit with the Zerostat 3 anti-static gun (sold separately), which reduces the static charge that attracts airborne dust in the first place.

Usage
- Hold the record or disc over a clean, flat surface.
- Apply a short burst of Permaclean aerosol directly onto the playing surface.
- Using the velvet side of the Duopad, gently brush in a circular motion following the grooves to work the fluid in and loosen contaminants.
- Turn the Duopad over and use the absorbent side to wipe the surface clean, removing the fluid and any lifted residue.
- Allow the surface to dry fully before playing or storing.
Testing & Verification
Milty states that Permaclean has been proven by advanced infra-red spectrophotometry tests to have no chemical reaction on media, and has been validated through exacting electronic and subjective listening tests.
