Michael Jackson - Thriller [Gatefold] (LP) Vinyl

Thriller is the sixth studio album by Michael Jackson, released on 29 November 1982 through Epic Records. It was produced by Quincy Jones, who had already worked with Jackson on Off the Wall in 1979, with Jackson himself credited as co-producer. Recording ran from April to November 1982 at Westlake Recording Studios in Los Angeles.

Seven singles were drawn from the album. Billie Jean and Beat It both topped the Billboard Hot 100, and the record set a new mark for the most Top 10 hits taken from one album. Thriller spent a record 37 non-consecutive weeks at number one on the Billboard Top LPs and Tape chart and also topped the charts in the United Kingdom. It won a record-breaking eight Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, and in 2008 it was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and added to the Library of Congress National Recording Registry. It remains the best-selling album of all time, with worldwide sales estimated at 70 million copies.

Paul McCartney appears on The Girl Is Mine as the first credited featured artist on a Michael Jackson album.

This is the standard black vinyl single LP issued by Epic and MJJ Productions under catalogue number 88875143731 and manufactured in the EU. It is presented in a gatefold sleeve whose inner spread carries the full lyrics, the recording credits and the original illustrations, and the nine tracks are cut across two sides in stereo.
