The TDAI-1120 is the compact streaming integrated amplifier in Lyngdorf Audio's range, bringing the Danish manufacturer's fully digital amplification and patented RoomPerfect room correction into a small, freestanding chassis intended to suit almost any location in the home. It combines amplifier, DAC and network streamer in a single unit.
Amplification
The TDAI-1120 uses Lyngdorf's digital amplification technology, rated at 2 x 60W RMS into 8 ohms and 2 x 120W RMS into 4 ohms, with a maximum output current of 30A. Frequency response is quoted at plus or minus 0.5dB from 20Hz to 20,000Hz, with total harmonic distortion of 0.05% maximum across the audio band. Standby power consumption is below 0.5W.
RoomPerfect and Processing
At the heart of the unit is RoomPerfect, Lyngdorf's room-correction system, which measures the acoustic behaviour of the room using the supplied microphone and adapts the system's output to suit it. The TDAI-1120 adds a pre-equaliser, Intelligent Crossover Control for subwoofer integration, 32 adjustable voicings (each with up to 8 filters with adjustable gain and Q) and a subsonic filter operating at 24dB per octave at 18Hz.
Connectivity
Digital inputs comprise two coaxial (up to 192kHz/24-bit), two optical (up to 96kHz/24-bit) and one HDMI eARC (up to 192kHz/24-bit). Analogue inputs include a single-ended RCA line input, a single-ended RCA moving-magnet phono input and an XLR microphone input for RoomPerfect calibration. A stereo RCA analogue output is provided for connecting a subwoofer or external amplifier. Network connection is via Ethernet (RJ45) or Wi-Fi (802.11n), with a USB Type A port for storage devices.
Streaming
The TDAI-1120 is Roon Ready and supports Google Cast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect with MQA decoding, Qobuz Connect, AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth, along with internet radio (vTuner and airable) and DLNA/UPnP network playback. It can be set up and controlled through a web-based interface or the My Lyngdorf app for iOS and Android, and supports IP control and HDMI CEC. The RoomPerfect microphone, microphone stand and microphone cable are included; an IR remote control and rack mounting kit are available as optional accessories.
