The Logitech Harmony RF Wireless Extender bridges the gap between RF-capable Harmony remote controls and infrared-only AV components, allowing you to operate equipment hidden inside closed cabinets, behind walls, or even in an adjacent room. It receives RF commands from a compatible Harmony remote and converts them to IR signals via four dual IR emitters, each positioned near the IR window of a separate component.
RF-to-IR Conversion
The extender communicates with the Harmony remote over RF at a range of up to 30 metres (100 ft), eliminating the need for direct line of sight. Once the RF signal is received, it is translated into an IR command and transmitted through whichever emitter cable is assigned to the target component. Each of the four emitter cables terminates in a dual IR emitter, so up to four separate devices can be controlled independently.
Setup & Connectivity
Initial configuration is handled via a USB connection to a PC. A mini USB cable is included for pairing the extender with a Harmony remote using the Logitech Harmony software. Once configured, the USB cable is disconnected and the extender operates standalone, powered by the included AC adapter.
Included Accessories
The package includes the RF wireless extender unit with an AC power cable, a USB cable (type-A to mini type-B) for setup, and four dual IR emitter cables with 3.5mm miniplug connectors. Each IR emitter cable can be positioned to point directly at a component's IR receiver window for reliable signal delivery.
