About the Album
Released in 1979 on Atlantic Records, Les Plus Grands Succès De Chic: Chic's Greatest Hits, the title translating from French as "Chic's Greatest Successes", was the only compilation issued during the band's original tenure with the label. Drawing from their three studio albums Chic (1977), C'est Chic (1978), and Risqué (1979), the record presents the band's commercial peak in a single listening experience. "Le Freak" became Atlantic Records' best-selling single of all time, whilst "Good Times," with its iconic bass line, reached number one on both sides of the Atlantic.
