The Grandview Fixed Frame Acoustic 16:9 combines the rigid, permanently tensioned fixed frame construction with an ISF-certified woven acoustic screen material. Speakers can be positioned directly behind the screen and will remain completely hidden, with the acoustic fabric providing transparent sound passage. This is the preferred choice for home cinema installations where the acoustic system is an integral part of the room design.
Screen Material
The ISF-certified woven acoustic fabric is tensioned across steel bars and fitted to the aluminium frame in the same manner as the standard Fixed Frame Home Theatre model. The fabric allows sound to pass through with minimal attenuation and no measurable colouration, making it suitable for use with high-quality speaker systems. The surface is flat and optically stable throughout the life of the product.
Frame Construction
The aluminium frame is covered in black velvet and provides a clean, light-absorbing border around the image. Steel tensioning bars at top and bottom keep the acoustic fabric perfectly flat. Note that the 11ft (150") and 12ft (165") sizes use a different mounting bracket design to support the larger frame dimensions.
Installation
Long aluminium mounting brackets are supplied for attachment to stud walls. No power connection is required. Available in 6ft through to 12ft diagonal sizes, making this one of the widest size ranges in the Grandview fixed frame collection.
