The DSK-1 is the desktop model in Forged Audio's speaker stand range, sitting alongside the single-column BAM stands and the twin-column FRG floorstanding stands. Sold as a pair, the stands lift desktop monitors clear of the desk surface and give compact speakers a stable, dedicated platform.
Construction
Each stand places an oval steel column between two curved steel plates: one forms the base, the other the platform the speaker sits on. The parts bolt together with M8 fixings and the required hex key is supplied in the box. The finished pair weighs 2.8 kg.
Design approach
Forged Audio builds hi-fi furniture around a single idea: a support should dissipate vibrational energy rather than store it and release it back into the equipment. Steel is central to that approach; its mass means more energy is needed to set the structure moving, which the brand regards as the primary defence against vibration.
