The BAM-600 is the taller model in Forged Audio's single-column speaker stand range, sitting alongside the standard-height BAM-500 and the twin-column FRG floorstanding stands in the brand's hi-fi furniture line-up. Sold as a pair, the stands are designed to hold serious standmount speakers rigid and stable at a 600 mm listening height.
Mass-loadable column
Each stand uses a single 600 mm column that can be mass-loaded: filling the hollow column with sand or a similar dense material adds weight, which steadies the stand and reduces ringing. The column rises from a solid bamboo base, in keeping with Forged Audio's approach of combining bamboo and steel to dissipate vibrational energy rather than store it.
Isolation above and below
Vibration control is addressed at both ends of the stand. M6 isolation spikes are fitted below, while 15 mm resonance-damping pads sit between the stand and the speaker above, so the cabinet is decoupled from the surface it rests on. A pair weighs 6.3 kg before any mass-loading.
If you do not need the extra height, the same design is available as the BAM-500 with 500 mm columns.
