The Focal Stellia is the French manufacturer's reference closed-back headphone, built around a 40mm pure Beryllium 'M'-shaped dome driver that delivers the speed, detail and dynamics Focal is known for in a sealed design suited to private and portable listening. Hand assembled in France, it pairs flagship acoustics with a distinctive cognac and mocha colourway finished in full-grain leather.
Beryllium 'M'-shaped dome driver
At the heart of the Stellia sits an electrodynamic speaker driver with a frameless 100 percent copper voice coil and a pure Beryllium 'M'-shaped dome. Beryllium combines very low mass with high rigidity, allowing the driver to respond quickly and accurately across an extended frequency range from 5Hz to 23kHz. The result is a closed-back headphone with the kind of dynamics and transparency more usually associated with open designs.
Closed-back design for any environment
The sealed earcups isolate the listener from surrounding noise and keep sound from spilling out, making the Stellia equally at home on the move or in a shared room. A low impedance of 35 ohms means it can be driven cleanly from the output of a portable player or smartphone, while still scaling with a dedicated headphone amplifier.
Materials and comfort
Full-grain leather covers the headband and shape-memory ear pads, with a solid aluminium yoke and machined earcups in the signature cognac and mocha finish. The combination keeps the Stellia comfortable over long sessions while reflecting its position at the top of Focal's headphone range.
In the box
The Stellia is supplied with a 1.2m 3.5mm jack cable for portable use, a 3m 4-pin XLR balanced cable for home systems, a 3.5mm to 6.35mm jack adapter and a hard carrying case finished to match the headphones.
