The Kanta No.1 is the standmount model in Focal's Kanta range, sitting below the Kanta No.2 and Kanta No.3 floorstanders. This compact two-way design brings the range's signature Flax and Beryllium driver technology to smaller rooms and to systems where a bookshelf or stand-mounted speaker is preferred.
Flax and Beryllium drivers
A 6.5 inch Flax cone midbass driver is paired with a pure Beryllium IAL3 inverted dome tweeter. The Flax cone, made from French linen fibres sandwiched between two layers of glass fibre, delivers a natural, controlled midrange, while the Beryllium tweeter extends the treble to 40kHz with fine detail and low distortion.
Engineered cabinet
The one-piece integrally moulded cabinet uses curved sides to reduce internal standing waves, and a Zamac base adds mass and stability from a small footprint. NIC (Neutral Inductance Circuit) and TMD (Tuned Mass Damper) technologies in the motor and suspension keep the driver behaviour stable for precise, consistent sound.
Finishes
This pair is finished in Black High Gloss with a matte black front baffle. The Kanta No.1 can be placed on a shelf or unit, or mounted on the optional Kanta No.1 stand for ideal listening height.
