The Aria Evo X N3 sits at the heart of Focal's Aria Evo X floorstanding range, slotting above the slimmer N1 and N2 and below the flagship N4. It is a full three-way floorstander built for medium to larger listening rooms, pairing the brand's signature Flax cone technology with a refined cabinet for a big, composed and detailed sound.
Flax cone drivers
The N3 uses Focal's distinctive Flax sandwich cones, formed from a core of flax fibre bonded between two thin layers of glass. This construction is light, rigid and well damped, which helps the three 16.5cm bass drivers and the dedicated 16.5cm midrange deliver clear, dynamic and natural sound across the frequency range. The dedicated midrange features a TMD surround to control unwanted resonance.
TAM inverted dome tweeter
High frequencies are handled by Focal's 25mm aluminium/magnesium TAM inverted dome tweeter set in a waveguide. The inverted dome design widens dispersion and improves integration with the midrange, giving an open, airy treble that stays smooth and detailed rather than fatiguing.
Cabinet and finish
The cabinet uses an ultra-rigid MDF construction with non-parallel side panels to reduce internal standing waves and a leather-effect front baffle. It sits on a cast aluminium alloy base that decouples the speaker from the floor and adds stability. This Prime Walnut finish wraps the cabinet in a warm, natural wood veneer that brings a refined, timeless look to modern living rooms.
System matching
With a sensitivity of 92dB and an 8 ohm nominal impedance, the N3 is an easy-going partner for a wide range of amplifiers, with a recommended power range of 40 to 300 watts. It works equally well at the centre of a two-channel hi-fi system or as the front pair in a Focal-based home cinema.
