The FiiO UTWS5 (2025 Edition) is a true wireless Bluetooth amplifier that converts MMCX-terminated wired in-ear monitors into a fully wireless listening system, without compromising on audio quality. It represents the flagship of FiiO's UTWS series and marks a significant step forward from its predecessor.
Bluetooth and Audio Performance
Powered by the Qualcomm QCC5141 chipset and Snapdragon Sound technology, the UTWS5 supports 96kHz/24-bit hi-res audio wirelessly via aptX Adaptive. aptX Voice adds 32kHz super wideband voice call support for high-definition calls over Bluetooth 5.2. The UTWS5 is the first true wireless receiver to incorporate an independent AK4332 DAC, resulting in a lower noise floor, improved signal-to-noise ratio, and 40% higher output power compared to the previous generation.
Battery and Charging
The charging case carries an 800mAh battery providing up to 30 hours of total battery life across three to four charges. Wireless charging is supported for cable-free top-ups. The case is designed to accommodate a wide variety of earphones when attached to the UTWS5 units.
Controls and Features
32 levels of volume adjustment allow precise control. Third-generation TWS Mirroring reduces latency and enables seamless switching between the primary and secondary ear units. The UTWS5 supports simultaneous connection to two Bluetooth devices, and a 10-band parametric equaliser is available via the FiiO Control or FiiO Music apps. IPX4 water resistance protects against splashes and sweat during everyday use.
