The FiiO SR11 is FiiO’s most affordable dedicated network streamer and one of the most accessible Roon Ready endpoints available today. Designed to slot neatly into an existing hi-fi system, desktop headphone stack, or active speaker setup, the SR11 gives any analogue-capable system a path to high-resolution network audio without the outlay of a combined DAC/streamer. At its core the SR11 is a pure digital transport, outputting bit-perfect audio over optical, coaxial, USB-A, or USB-C connections to a connected DAC or DAC/amplifier such as the FiiO K11.
Streaming and Connectivity
The SR11 supports three primary operating modes: Roon Ready, AirPlay, and MIX mode which runs both simultaneously. It is also DLNA compatible, opening it up to a wide range of network playback applications. Network connectivity is via dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz, 802.11 b/g/n/ac) or Gigabit Ethernet, the latter providing a stable, low-latency connection well suited to high-resolution streaming. Through Roon Ready mode, USB output supports audio up to 768kHz/32-bit PCM and DSD256 (DoP), with coaxial and optical outputs handling up to 192kHz/24-bit PCM and DSD64.
Design and Build
The SR11 shares its chassis design with the FiiO K11 DAC/amplifier series, making the two a natural pairing as a compact desktop stack. The aluminium alloy enclosure measures just 157 x 133 x 32.3mm and weighs 375g, fitting comfortably on a bedside table or crowded desk. A multi-function control knob on the front panel handles output switching and menu navigation, while the VA LCD panel displays volume level, playback status, and network information. An illuminated RGB FiiO logo on the top panel changes colour to reflect the current audio sampling rate. The unit is available in Moon Silver or Black.
Remote Control and Accessories
A dedicated infrared remote control is included in the box, covering volume, input and output switching, and display settings. This makes the SR11 practical in hi-fi rack installations where the front panel knob may not be easily accessible. The package also includes a power adaptor, USB cable, and quick-start guide.
