The FiiO SA1 is a compact desktop active speaker pair that delivers a remarkable combination of versatility and sound quality for its size. Available in Cloud White or Twilight Black, the SA1 is designed to sit neatly on a desk, offering genuine hi-fi performance in a tidy, stylish cabinet.
Versatile Connectivity
The SA1 covers virtually every connection scenario you are likely to encounter. Analogue inputs include RCA stereo and 3.5 mm aux, whilst digital inputs extend to USB-C (up to 32-bit/96 kHz PCM), coaxial (up to 24-bit/192 kHz), and optical (up to 24-bit/96 kHz). A built-in Bluetooth 5.4 receiver supports SBC, AAC, and LDAC for wireless listening at up to 990 kbps. Particularly notable is the built-in phono preamplifier, which allows you to connect a turntable directly without a separate phono stage. A dedicated subwoofer output rounds off the connectivity, letting you integrate a sub into your setup with ease.
31-Band Lossless PEQ and App Control
The SA1 features a 31-band high-precision lossless parametric equaliser that works across all input modes. Using the FiiO Control app, you can fine-tune the frequency response to compensate for room acoustics, standing waves, and personal listening preferences. Eight factory sound presets cover styles including pop, jazz, classical, R&B, dance, and a flat monitoring curve, and you can save up to three custom PEQ configurations. A dedicated bass adjustment knob on the unit provides quick physical control, and a custom infrared remote control is included.
Drivers and Amplification
Each speaker houses a 3.5-inch wood fibre pulp woofer - the same material and size used in FiiO's SP3 desktop speakers - paired with a 19 mm (three-quarter inch) aluminium-magnesium alloy dome tweeter. The woofer's 75 mm flexible suspension allows bass extension down to 65 Hz. An active electronic two-way crossover divides duties between the drivers, whilst a Texas Instruments digital amplifier provides 20 W per woofer and 5 W per tweeter for a total of 50 W per speaker. The MDF cabinets feature 12 mm-thick walls to minimise unwanted resonance, with 9 mm simulated wood veneer side panels adding a premium feel.
Hi-Res Audio Certified
Thanks to its high-resolution digital inputs and LDAC Bluetooth support, the SA1 carries both Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification. The speakers are sold as a stereo pair, with the right unit acting as the active main speaker containing all the electronics and controls, and the left unit acting as the passive secondary speaker connected via the supplied speaker cable.
