The FiiO LD-LT1 is a USB Type-B to Lightning adapter cable designed to link Apple Lightning-equipped devices - such as iPhone and iPad - directly to hi-fi DAC and headphone amplifiers that feature a USB Type-B input. It enables lossless, high-resolution audio streaming from an iOS device to desktop equipment such as the FiiO K5 Pro or K9 Pro, bypassing the need for a computer as an intermediate source.
Construction and Build Quality
The cable is built around a multi-layer conductor assembly comprising tin-plated copper signal wires, a reinforced wire core, tin-plated copper braided shielding, and an aluminium foil shield, all enclosed within a PVC sheath and finished with a high-quality black nylon braid. The connector housings are machined from aluminium alloy, with a one-piece injection-moulded plug design for enhanced bend resistance at both ends. The Lightning end is MFi-compliant for reliable compatibility with iOS devices.
Compact and Practical
At 50cm in length, the LD-LT1 is sized to neatly connect a phone or tablet placed beside a desktop DAC or amplifier without creating cable clutter. Its compact form makes it equally suited to desktop listening setups and portable use. FiiO recommends disabling the charging function on the connected FiiO device via the FiiO Music app for the best audio experience. Devices requiring more than 200mA are not supported, and the cable should not be used to charge Apple devices.
