The KB3 Wireless sits within FiiO's keyboard range as the cable-free counterpart to the wired KB3 HiFi. Where the HiFi model centres on a built-in headphone DAC and amplifier, the KB3 Wireless drops the audio decoder in favour of triple-mode wireless connectivity and a large internal battery, while keeping the same gasket-mounted mechanical chassis. This is the silver finish.
Design
The KB3 Wireless is built around a 75% layout with 81 keys, keeping the arrow cluster and a compact footprint that frees up desk space. The case is an aluminium-magnesium alloy shell, and the board uses a gasket mount design for a softer, shock-absorbing typing feel. Translucent ABS keycaps in an OEM profile let the backlight glow through each legend, and a stepless volume knob sits on the board for quick level adjustment. The keyboard measures 329 x 140 x 43.5 mm and weighs around 1115 g.
Switches & Typing
The board ships with Gateron G Pro 3.0 Yellow linear switches. The sockets are hot-swappable, so switches can be pulled and replaced by hand without soldering, letting you retune the feel of the board over time.
Connectivity
Three connection modes are on offer: 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and wired USB. The keyboard can be paired with up to five devices at once (three over Bluetooth, one over 2.4GHz and one over USB), and you switch between modes with an onboard toggle. A 4000mAh internal battery powers wireless use, with quoted run times of around 18 hours with the RGB backlight always on, up to 500 hours with the backlight off, and 2000+ hours in standby. Charging is over USB-C.
Features
Per-key RGB lighting is north-facing, with effects adjustable directly from the keyboard using the Fn and F1 to F4 keys. The board supports Windows and macOS, and key mapping can be customised through the browser-based VIA configuration app.
