The FiiO KB3 is a HiFi mechanical keyboard that doubles as a desktop-grade DAC and headphone amplifier, combining a 75% mechanical board with the kind of audio hardware usually reserved for FiiO's standalone source components. It is aimed at desk-based listeners who want a single device for typing, gaming and high-resolution audio without a separate DAC taking up space.
Audio
Two Cirrus Logic CS43131 DAC chips are paired with two low-noise SGM8262 op-amps, decoding PCM up to 384kHz/32bit and DSD up to DSD256. A 3.5mm single-ended output and a 4.4mm balanced output are fitted on the left side, delivering 170mW into 32 ohms from the 3.5mm jack and up to 550mW into 32 ohms from the balanced 4.4mm jack, enough to drive in-ear monitors and most full-size headphones. A stepless volume knob on the right edge provides tactile level control.
Keyboard
The KB3 uses a 75% layout with 81 keys and a gasket-mount construction inside an aluminium-magnesium alloy case. Hot-swappable Gateron G Pro 3.0 yellow linear switches are fitted from the factory, with a 50g actuation force, and can be changed without soldering. Semi-transparent black keycaps sit over per-key RGB lighting with selectable presets. Connection to a PC or Mac is over a wired USB Type-C link, and the keyboard supports both Windows and macOS.
In the box
The KB3 ships with a USB-A to Type-C cable (around 1.6m), a keycap puller, a quick start guide and a warranty card.
