The FiiO K11 is a compact desktop DAC and headphone amplifier designed to sit neatly on a desk and bring genuine hi-fi performance to a wide range of headphones, IEMs, and powered speaker systems. Built around the proven Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC chip, the K11 decodes up to 384kHz/32-bit PCM and DSD256, giving it resolving capability well beyond its entry-level price.
Inputs and Outputs
The K11 accepts digital audio via USB Type-C (from a PC, Mac, or games console), optical S/PDIF, and coaxial S/PDIF. On the output side it provides a 6.35mm single-ended headphone socket and a 4.4mm Pentaconn balanced output for balanced-capable headphones, plus a pair of RCA line outputs and a coaxial digital output so the unit can feed a connected amplifier or record to another device. The combination of three digital inputs and two headphone output formats makes the K11 genuinely versatile in a desktop system.
Amplification and Power
Under a 32-ohm load, the balanced output delivers 1,400mW per channel, which is more than sufficient to drive demanding full-size headphones. Single-ended output reaches 520mW into 32 ohms. Three selectable gain levels, each paired with a tailored volume curve, allow the K11 to work equally well with sensitive IEMs at low gain and with inefficient over-ear headphones at high gain. Output impedance is under 1.2 ohms in single-ended mode, preserving the character of multi-driver IEMs.
Audio Circuit and Power Supply
FiiO has paid careful attention to the power supply chain. An external 12V DC supply feeds more than 16 low-noise linear voltage regulators (LDOs) inside the unit, providing clean, stable rail voltages throughout the audio path. This approach suppresses mains-borne noise more effectively than designs that draw power directly from USB.
Display, Controls, and Usability
A high-contrast VA display shows sample rate, bit depth, volume level, gain setting, and output mode at a glance. A single multifunction rotary knob handles power on/off, volume adjustment, and menu navigation, keeping the front panel uncluttered. An RGB-illuminated FiiO logo on the top panel changes colour to indicate the current sample rate and can be configured or switched off entirely. The K11 is compatible with Windows 10 and later in driver-free plug-and-play mode, with optional drivers available for higher sample-rate support. It also works as a USB audio device on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.
Build Quality
The chassis is machined from aluminium alloy with a slim profile and a silicon anti-slip pad on the underside. Dimensions are 147 x 133 x 32.3mm including the feet, and weight is approximately 407g, making the K11 stable on a desk without taking up excessive space.
