The Jade Audio LEVEL 1 sits at the entry point of FiiO's Jade Audio desktop amplifier range, offering compact Class D amplification built around the Texas Instruments TPA3255 platform. Designed for nearfield desktop systems and smaller listening rooms, it consolidates four source types, speaker drive, subwoofer routing, and pre-amplifier output into a chassis measuring just 181 x 133 x 36mm.
Amplification
At the heart of the LEVEL 1 is the TPA3255 Class D amplifier chip from Texas Instruments. With the included 48V/5A power adapter, the amplifier delivers 120W per channel into 4 ohms and 115W per channel into 8 ohms, both measured at THD+N below 1%. The six-layer PCB uses thick copper traces and enclosed inductors to minimise electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity across the audio band. Frequency response extends from 20Hz to 40kHz with a signal-to-noise ratio of 105dB or better and total harmonic distortion of 0.05% or less, making it suitable for high-resolution source material.
Connectivity
The rear panel provides four analogue and digital inputs: a stereo RCA line input, coaxial S/PDIF supporting PCM up to 24-bit/192kHz, USB input supporting PCM up to 24-bit/96kHz, and Bluetooth via the Bluetrum BT8961 chipset running Bluetooth 6.0 with SBC and LDAC codec support. LDAC allows wireless streaming at up to 990 kbps, bringing Hi-Res Audio performance to wireless sources. Three output paths are available: stereo speaker binding posts, a dedicated subwoofer RCA output for adding a powered sub to the system, and a pre-out for driving an external power amplifier or active monitors.
Controls and App Support
The front panel carries a tactile power toggle, an input selector switch, dedicated bass and treble rotary controls (each adjustable from -10 to +10), and a large volume knob. An RGB LED indicator on the volume knob provides at-a-glance feedback: the colour changes depending on the selected input and, for Bluetooth, shows which codec is in use. The LEVEL 1 is compatible with the FiiO Control app, which enables parametric EQ adjustment and preset switching for digital sources, including Bluetooth, coaxial, and USB inputs. Line input does not support app control.
Design
The chassis combines an aluminium alloy top and front panel with real wood side panels, available in Black with walnut wood or Silver with maple wood. The compact footprint suits desktop placement alongside a laptop or monitor, while the build quality and material choice reflect a product positioned at the intersection of functionality and aesthetic appeal.
