Sound Character

Driven by a 50mm dynamic driver with a PEK and PU composite diaphragm, the JT3 produces a warm, mildly V-shaped sound signature with full-sounding bass and lively treble. The low end delivers satisfying punch without overpowering the midrange, while the treble adds sparkle and excitement to recordings. The midrange is well balanced, with good presence in both lower and upper frequencies, ensuring vocals and instruments come through clearly and with natural weight.

Open-Back Staging

Thanks to its open-back design, the JT3 delivers a soundstage that goes well beyond what most closed-back headphones at this price can achieve. The stage is broadly spherical, with good front-to-back depth and side-to-side imaging. Instruments are naturally separated, and the JT3 has a tendency to project sound from the front rather than the sides, which creates a speaker-like, natural listening perspective that works especially well with acoustic and orchestral recordings.

Build and Comfort

The JT3 features a stainless steel headband with height-adjustable yokes and a leather-finish cushion pad with memory foam for long listening sessions. The oblong earcups carry a black metal grille and sit comfortably over the ear with soft velour-covered memory foam earpads. Each earcup carries a 3.5mm input jack for the detachable cable. A 3.5mm to 6.35mm adapter is included, along with a soft carry pouch, making the JT3 a complete package from the box.

Versatile Use

With an impedance of 80 ohms and a sensitivity of 97dB, the JT3 works well from phones and laptops but responds noticeably to a dedicated headphone amplifier or DAC.
