Driver Technology

At the heart of the EH13 is a 40mm dynamic driver with a sapphire-coated dome diaphragm and PEEK+PU surround. FiiO claims the surround design reduces potential distortion by 30% whilst enabling rapid response to transient musical changes. The sapphire dome delivers a detail-rich treble presentation typically found in higher-priced products.

Active Noise Cancellation

The EH13 employs a multi-microphone ANC system with DSP processing, achieving up to -42dB of noise reduction. An optimised microphone array compensates for the audio signal in real time, maintaining sound clarity and crystal-clear vocal reproduction whether ANC is engaged or not. A Transparency mode allows ambient sound through when needed.

Bluetooth and Codec Support

Bluetooth 6.0 provides reliable wireless connectivity with support for LDAC (up to 990kbps), AAC, and SBC codecs. LDAC enables hi-res wireless audio playback, making the EH13 suitable for listeners who value audio quality. Multipoint connectivity allows simultaneous pairing with two devices, so you can listen on a laptop and take calls on a smartphone without re-pairing.

Battery Life

With up to 75 hours of playback with ANC off, or 45 hours with ANC active, the EH13 is built for extended use. A full charge takes just two hours via USB-C, and a 5-minute quick charge delivers approximately three hours of playback. Simultaneous charging and playback via USB-C is supported.

Design and Controls

The EH13 folds flat for compact storage in a backpack or bag. Differentiated button shapes on the right ear cup provide tactile control over volume, power, and ANC mode without looking. Headband adjustment is numbered for easy matching between left and right sides. The pleather earpads are soft and deep, providing a comfortable over-ear fit for extended listening sessions.

App and Equalisation

The FiiO Control App provides access to a full parametric EQ with per-band control up to +/-12dB gain adjustment. Custom EQ profiles created on other FiiO devices can be transferred via a FiiO account. Firmware updates are also delivered through the app.

Wired Use

A 3.5mm auxiliary input on the right ear cup allows wired playback when Bluetooth is not required or the battery is depleted. Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) for call quality is available in both wired and wireless modes.
