Description
The T8 is EverSolo's first dedicated streaming transport and sits at the top of the brand's streaming range, above the established DMP-A series. Unlike those all-in-one players, the T8 deliberately leaves out the digital-to-analogue conversion stage: it is a pure digital source built to feed an external DAC, or the digital input of a streaming amplifier or AV receiver, with the cleanest possible signal. This lets the listener pair it with a converter of their choice while still benefiting from EverSolo's streaming platform and interface.
Design and Power
Without a DAC on board, the entire chassis is given over to network handling, processing and signal isolation. A "super-silent" linear power supply, built around a custom 4N oxygen-free copper toroidal transformer, is isolated from the digital circuitry, with EverSolo quoting noise levels as low as 30 microvolts. Internal wiring is shielded with Teflon insulation, and an ultra-high-precision femtosecond clock is fitted to keep the timing of the audio signal stable and to reduce jitter at source.
Connectivity
The T8 carries five digital outputs: USB, I2S over an HDMI connector, balanced AES/EBU on XLR, coaxial and optical, each with isolation for clean signal transmission. The I2S output can be reconfigured across eight different pin-wiring profiles for broad DAC compatibility. USB and I2S handle data up to 32-bit/768kHz PCM and DSD512, while the coaxial and optical outputs support up to 24-bit/192kHz. On the network side, an SFP fibre-optic port sits alongside a standard Gigabit LAN port, with Wi-Fi 6 also on board. Dual internal SSD slots allow a local music library to be stored inside the unit.
Platform and Control
A quad-core ARM processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage runs EverSolo's streaming system, presented on a six-inch colour touchscreen on the front panel. The platform is Roon Ready and supports TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Amazon Music, Deezer, AirPlay 2 and DLNA/UPnP, alongside internet radio, giving access to both streaming services and stored libraries from one interface.
