The EverSolo PLAY is the entry point to EverSolo's streaming amplifier line, condensing a network music streamer, digital-to-analogue converter, phono stage and power amplifier into a single compact chassis. Designed to drive a pair of passive speakers directly, it provides a complete just-add-speakers system in a footprint small enough for a desktop, shelf or sideboard.
Streaming and Control
A 5.5 inch colour touchscreen dominates the front panel, giving direct on-device access to music services, settings and playback alongside an illuminated multifunction volume knob. The PLAY is Roon Ready and supports AirPlay, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect and Qobuz Connect, with built-in integration for services including TIDAL, Qobuz, Amazon Music and HIGHRESAUDIO. Network playback is handled over dual-band Wi-Fi or a wired Gigabit LAN connection, and Bluetooth is provided for casting from a phone or tablet. The unit carries 4GB of DDR4 RAM and 32GB of eMMC storage.
Conversion and Amplification
Digital-to-analogue conversion is handled by an AKM AK4493SEQ DAC, supporting high-resolution files up to 32-bit/768kHz PCM and DSD512. The built-in Class D amplifier delivers 60W per channel into 8 ohms and 110W per channel into 4 ohms, enough to drive most bookshelf and standmount speakers in a small to medium room.
Connectivity
The rear panel provides HDMI ARC for connecting a television, optical and coaxial digital inputs, an RCA line input and a switchable MM/MC phono input for a turntable. Outputs include binding-post speaker terminals, a subwoofer output with an adjustable crossover, a coaxial digital output and twin USB 3.0 ports. A 12V trigger input and grounding terminal are also fitted.
