The DMP-A6 Master Edition Gen 2 sits above the standard DMP-A6 Gen 2 in EverSolo's streaming range, adding upgraded clocking and analogue components to the same all-in-one network streamer, DAC and digital preamplifier platform. It is designed for listeners who want a single source unit feeding an integrated amplifier or active speakers, combining local library playback, network streaming and a built-in digital-to-analogue conversion stage in one aerospace-grade aluminium chassis.
Master Edition Upgrades
The Master Edition is distinguished from the standard model by an ultra-low jitter femtosecond clock sourced from Accusilicon, paired with Texas Instruments OPA1612 operational amplifiers in the I/V conversion stage. These changes target lower jitter and reduced noise through the analogue output stage. A gold accent ring around the volume knob marks the Master Edition externally.
Digital Conversion
Conversion is handled by dual ESS ES9038Q2M DAC chips, one per channel, running EverSolo's own EOS audio engine. The unit decodes PCM up to 32-bit/768kHz and DSD512 natively, and is MQA compatible. An ultra-low noise linear power supply, with noise quoted below 40uV, feeds the audio circuitry.
Connectivity
Analogue outputs comprise balanced XLR and single-ended RCA, allowing the DMP-A6 Master Edition Gen 2 to act as a digital preamplifier directly into a power amplifier or active speakers. Digital inputs include optical, coaxial, USB and HDMI ARC, the latter allowing a television's audio to be routed through the streamer. Digital outputs (coaxial, optical and HDMI) are also provided, with the HDMI output supporting native DSD and multichannel output up to 5.1. Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet handle wireless and wired networking.
Streaming and Storage
Streaming services are supported natively, including Tidal Connect, Spotify Connect, Qobuz, Amazon Music and Apple Music, and the unit is Roon Ready. Local playback is served by 4GB of DDR memory and 32GB of eMMC storage, with an internal M.2 NVMe SSD slot accepting drives up to 4TB for a built-in music library. A 6-inch colour touchscreen with an RGB-lit volume knob provides on-device control.
