The AMP-F2 is EverSolo's stereo power amplifier, designed as the partnering power stage for its DMP series streamers and any preamplifier or streaming preamp with a volume control. It is a dedicated power amplifier with no built-in streaming, DAC or volume control, intended to add high-output amplification to a separates system in a compact half-width chassis.
Design and Amplification
The AMP-F2 is built around Starke Sound's NS600 amplifier module, co-developed by the Starke Sound and EverSolo teams. It uses an efficient Class D amplification structure with PurePath Ultra-HD technology and an advanced integrated feedback design featuring high-speed gate driver error correction, which together work to keep distortion low across the audio band.
Power and Flexibility
Each channel delivers a continuous 280W RMS into 4 Ohms and 130W RMS into 8 Ohms at 1% THD+N. The amplifier is bridgeable, so a single unit can run in stereo or be configured for mono operation; in bridged mode it supports up to 450W RMS into 2 Ohms. This ability to drive low-impedance loads provides ample headroom for demanding speakers, particularly during high-dynamic, low-frequency passages.
Power Supply
A SAPS audio-specific switching power supply rated at 600W underpins the design, with high efficiency, low ripple and low EMI for consistent output and very low background noise. Standby power draw is just 0.5W and idle consumption is around 14W.
Connectivity
Inputs comprise one pair of balanced XLR and one pair of single-ended RCA connections. Speaker connections use two pairs of beryllium copper binding posts per side, custom made by Starke Sound. A 12V trigger input and output allow the amplifier to power on and off automatically with a connected streamer or preamplifier.
