Epson EH-LS11000W Laser Projector White

The Epson EH-LS11000W occupies the second tier of Epson's laser home cinema projector range, sitting below the EH-LS12000B and above the lamp-based EH-TW series. It shares the same 3LCD panel technology, motorised optics, and HDMI 2.1 connectivity as its flagship sibling, but delivers 2,500 lumens in a white finish rather than the EH-LS12000B's 2,700 lumens in black. The move from conventional UHE lamps to a laser array eliminates scheduled lamp replacements entirely and reduces long-term running costs.

3LCD Laser Engine and 4K PRO-UHD

The projection system uses three 0.74-inch LCD panels with Epson's C2 Fine technology, each dedicated to one primary colour in an RGB liquid crystal shutter arrangement. Because all three panels contribute to every projected frame simultaneously, both colour brightness and white brightness are rated at 2,500 lumens, measured in accordance with IDMS15.4. There is no trade-off between peak white output and saturated colour output that affects single-chip DLP designs.

Output resolution is achieved via Epson's 4K PRO-UHD pixel-shifting technology, producing a 3,840 × 2,160 image totalling 8.3 million pixels. The engine processes video at 10-bit depth, supporting up to 1.07 billion colours. Dynamic contrast is rated at 2,500,000:1, with a native contrast ratio of 1,800:1. HDR support covers HDR10+ and HLG formats; Scene Adaptive Gamma adjusts the picture on a frame-by-frame basis. Available colour modes include Dynamic, Natural, Cinema, Bright Cinema, and Vivid.

Motorised Optics

All primary lens adjustments — zoom, focus, and lens shift — are motorised. The 2.1× zoom lens covers a throw ratio of 1.35–2.84:1, with a focal length of 22.5–46.7mm and an aperture of F/2–3. Lens shift extends to ±96.3% vertically and ±47.1% horizontally, providing substantial placement flexibility for ceiling, shelf, or table installations without geometric distortion. A 100-inch image requires a throw distance of 3.0–6.4m; the projector supports screen sizes from 50 to 300 inches. Ten lens memory presets allow rapid switching between different screen sizes or aspect ratios.

Gaming and High Frame Rate

Both HDMI 2.1 inputs support uncompressed 4K HDR signals at up to 120 frames per second. Input lag is rated below 20 milliseconds in the projector's game mode. Both inputs carry HDCP 2.3 content protection; one port supports eARC/ARC audio return, simplifying connection to AV receivers and soundbars.

Laser Light Source

The 72 mW laser array is rated for up to 20,000 hours of operation across all output modes. This eliminates the scheduled lamp replacements required by conventional UHE projectors and allows instant on/off operation with no warm-up or cool-down period.

Connectivity and Control

The rear panel provides two HDMI 2.1 inputs (one with optional 300mA bus power for connected devices, one with eARC/ARC), two USB Type-A ports (USB 1.0), a USB 2.0 Mini-B service port, wired Ethernet (100 Base-TX/10 Base-T), RS-232C serial control, and a 12V trigger output for motorised screen automation. The projector is Calman Ready for professional colour management calibration.
