Greatest Hits gathers seventeen Earth, Wind & Fire recordings into a single collection, first issued on 17 November 1998 by Columbia and Legacy. This 2026 edition, catalogue number 19958441201, presents that compilation across two black vinyl LPs and was released by Legacy Recordings on 5 June 2026.
The Album
The seventeen selections run from "Shining Star" and "That's the Way of the World" through to "Let's Groove" and "Boogie Wonderland", the latter recorded with The Emotions, taking in "September", "Fantasy", "Reasons", "After the Love Has Gone" and the band's reading of Lennon and McCartney's "Got to Get You Into My Life" along the way.
The compilation reached number 40 on the Billboard 200. Stephen Thomas Erlewine of AllMusic described it as "a terrifically entertaining and valuable disc".
This Pressing
Two discs on standard black vinyl, carrying the orange Columbia labels and made in the EU. The original recordings were produced by Maurice White with Charles Stepney, Al McKay and Joe Wissert; the compilation was produced by Leo Sacks and Maurice White. The seventeen tracks are spread across four sides.
