The Denon SC-N10 are compact bookshelf speakers from the CEOL range, designed as part of the RCD-N10 mini system and equally suited to use with any hi-fi amplifier or entry-level AV receiver. They occupy the entry level of Denon's speaker offering, built to bring natural, balanced sound to smaller rooms without requiring a large footprint.
Cabinet and Construction
The SC-N10 uses a damped MDF enclosure with a minimalist cloth-grille finish. The rear-firing bass-reflex port is tuned to extend low-frequency output and allows the speakers to be positioned reasonably close to a rear wall. Self-adhesive rubber supports on the base provide stability and help isolate the cabinet from the supporting surface.
Driver Configuration
The two-way design pairs a 120mm cone woofer with a 30mm balanced dome tweeter. The tweeter uses an oval chassis to reduce vibration transmission and improve heat dissipation. A crossover network set at 3.5 kHz divides the signal between the two drive units, contributing to even frequency balance through the midrange.
Connectivity
Each speaker connects via a recessed terminal panel on the rear, housing a pair of colour-coded binding posts accepting bare wire, pin plugs, or banana plugs. The 6 ohm nominal impedance is compatible with a broad range of integrated amplifiers and AV receivers.
