Dave Porter – Breaking Bad Original Soundtrack
Breaking Bad is the critically acclaimed AMC crime drama series created by Vince Gilligan, broadcast from 2008 to 2013. The show follows high school chemistry teacher Walter White, played by Bryan Cranston, whose terminal cancer diagnosis leads him to manufacture methamphetamine, spiralling into a world of crime and moral collapse. Widely regarded as one of the greatest television dramas ever made, the series won 16 Primetime Emmy Awards over the course of its run.
The music of Breaking Bad was composed entirely by Dave Porter, an American composer and sound designer who worked on all five seasons of the show as well as the prequel series Better Call Saul and the epilogue film El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie. Porter’s score is a masterclass in tension and atmosphere, blending found sounds, electronic textures, Americana, and orchestral elements to create a sound world that perfectly mirrors Walter White’s transformation. The score was originally released on CD and digitally via Madison Gate Records, before this special vinyl edition was produced by Music on Vinyl.
This collector’s box set presents the Breaking Bad soundtrack across five 10″ vinyl records, each pressed on a different coloured vinyl, making it as visually striking as it is sonically. Housed in a premium box, it is an essential item for fans of the series and connoisseurs of screen music alike.
