DALI Rubikore 6 Floorstanding Speakers High Gloss Black (Pair)

The Rubikore 6 sits in DALI's Rubikore series, the Danish manufacturer's mid-range loudspeaker line that brings technology developed for the flagship Kore down to a more attainable level. Within the range it is the compact floorstanding model, designed for ambitious high-end stereo and home theatre systems in medium to larger sized rooms where its slim cabinet offers installation versatility.

Drive Units

Rubikore 6 is a 2½ + ½-way design using two 6½ inch wood-fibre Clarity Cone bass and midrange drivers. The cones are formed from a low-loss wood-fibre pulp, and the driver motor systems use DALI's proprietary SMC (Soft Magnetic Compound) material, which is engineered to reduce mechanical and magnetic distortion. High frequencies are handled by DALI's hybrid tweeter module, combining a 29 mm low-loss soft dome tweeter with a 17 x 45 mm planar magnetostatic ribbon that extends response up to 34 kHz for wide dispersion and detail.

Cabinet and Technology

The drivers and crossover draw on components leveraged from DALI's flagship Kore loudspeaker, including SMC-Kore inductors. The cabinet is a bass reflex design tuned with Continuous-Flare ports, profiled to reduce air turbulence and port noise for cleaner, more controlled low-frequency output. The crossover operates at 800 Hz, 2,600 Hz and 14,000 Hz.

Performance and Connection

Rubikore 6 has a quoted frequency response of 38 Hz to 34 kHz (±3 dB), a sensitivity of 88.5 dB and a nominal impedance of 4 ohms, with a maximum SPL of 110 dB. DALI recommends amplification of 40 to 200 watts. The speaker is bi-wireable, allowing a bi-wire or bi-amp connection from a suitable amplifier.
