DALI Rubikore 2 Bookshelf Speakers High Gloss Black (Pair)

The Rubikore 2 is the compact standmount in DALI's Rubikore range, which sits above the Oberon and Opticon series and brings technology derived from the flagship Epikore and Kore models into a more attainable price bracket. It is a two-way bass reflex design built around a single 6.5 inch mid/bass driver and a 29 mm soft dome tweeter.

Drivers

The mid/bass driver uses DALI's wood-fibre Clarity Cone, a paper and wood-fibre cone designed to promote a smooth, articulate midrange. It is built on DALI's patented SMC (Soft Magnetic Compound) magnet technology, used here in a double-magnet motor system to reduce distortion, flux modulation and eddy currents. The 29 mm tweeter is a ferrofluid-free, low-loss soft dome design. The crossover between the two drivers is set at 2.8 kHz.

Cabinet and Port

An internally braced cabinet provides a rigid and inert platform for the drivers. A rear-firing bass reflex port uses DALI's Continuous-Flare profile, shaped to channel air as smoothly as possible and to extend low-frequency performance. The enclosure is finished by hand.

Connectivity and Placement

Two sets of speaker terminals allow for bi-wiring or bi-amping. With a nominal impedance of 4 ohms and a sensitivity of 87 dB, DALI recommends partnering amplifiers rated between 40 and 150 watts. As a standmount design, the Rubikore 2 is intended for use on dedicated speaker stands or a solid shelf.
