The Bowers & Wilkins CCM664 is a two-way in-ceiling speaker from the B&W Performance Series, designed for discreet integration into custom home audio and home cinema installations. It sits within the CCM6xx family alongside the CCM662, CCM663, and CCM665, offering a balance of installation simplicity and audio performance suited to multi-room audio, surround sound, and Dolby Atmos height channel duties.
Driver Configuration
The CCM664 pairs a 150mm (6in) black glass fibre cone bass/midrange driver with a 25mm (1in) soft dome tweeter. The tweeter features an adjustable tilt offset, allowing the high-frequency output to be directed towards the primary listening position even when the speaker is mounted off-axis. A three-position EQ switch provides further tuning to compensate for the acoustic effects of ceiling mounting, optimising the tonal balance for different room configurations and seating positions.
Installation
The CCM664 requires a 202mm (8in) circular cut-out and sits 133mm (5.2in) behind the ceiling surface, with just 4mm of protrusion below the finished surface. The outer frame diameter is 240mm (9.5in). An optional C6 pre-mount kit simplifies rough-in installation before the ceiling is finished, and an optional 6C back box is available for situations where rear-volume control or fire-rated enclosure is required. Sold as a pair.
