The Bowers & Wilkins 607 S3 sits at the entry level of the 600 Series loudspeaker range, designed to deliver precision and musical engagement in a compact bookshelf cabinet. It succeeds the acclaimed 607 S2 Anniversary Edition and brings meaningful driver upgrades from B&W's higher ranges down into a genuinely accessible package.

Tweeter

The 607 S3 introduces an all-new Titanium Dome tweeter using a Decoupled Double Dome design. The dome is decoupled from its surround to suppress cabinet-borne vibration reaching the tweeter assembly, while the double-dome geometry extends the pistonic operating range. The result is smooth, detailed high-frequency reproduction with low colouration. The acoustically transparent tweeter grille mesh, developed for B&W's Signature models, is used here, providing protection without impeding high-frequency extension.

Bass and Midrange

The 130mm bass/midrange driver uses B&W's Continuum cone, a composite material that avoids the abrupt breakup modes found in conventional paper or polypropylene cones. The smooth, controlled transition through the driver's operating range allows voices and instruments to be reproduced with accuracy and transparency. The cabinet is a 2-way vented-box design, incorporating B&W's Flowport technology, which uses a dimpled port exit to reduce turbulence and lower the noise floor at high listening levels.

Connections and Finish

The 607 S3 uses upgraded binding posts derived from the 700 Series, offering an improved terminal layout and cleaner signal path. The White finish is paired with a grey grille. Sensitivity is 84dB, nominal impedance is 8 ohms (minimum 3.0 ohms), and recommended amplifier power is 30W to 100W. The 607 S3 is equally suited to a dedicated stereo system or as a surround speaker in a home theatre installation.
